If you were wondering if Keri Russell's curly locks grew back over the summer, wonder no more. The Felicity (9 p.m.,
Channel 41 on Comcast, WGN stations on Adelphia, WTCN-Channel 16, WBZL-Channel 39) star's tresses are just about as long as
they were when the series debuted two years ago. Remember the WB made a big stink when Russell had, like, the nerve to cut
her hair. The show's ratings fell with Russell's brown locks. And the WB was actually dumb enough to blame Russell's new
'do. Yeah, right. Declining viewership, I'm sure, had nothing to do with the show's switch to Sunday nights and the series'
lack of creative direction.
On Felicity's season premiere, the WB wastes no time. The show's first shot is of Felicity walking down the street in slow-motion. Her hair should get a co-starring credit. While I soured on Felicity a bit, tonight's premiere is an inspired one. Pushy Felicity talks Ben into moving in with her in a ratty apartment. Well, strong-arms is more like it. She gets the pad before even talking to Ben. Poor guy. Meanwhile, a bearded Noel drops out of school and decides to travel the world with Javier's curvy cousin. |
