Let's talk Gossip. No, not that movie starring Joshua Jackson, which, yes, I did watch, because I was having a bout of Pacey withdrawal. The movie is pretty bad, but Pace gets to romance Kate Hudson - not too shabby.

I digress. I think I'm suffering from heat exhaustion. It's been so hot in Boston that my computer just asked me for a glass of water.

I wanted to know exactly what Felicity and Noel had been up to since they decided to get ice cream together. I recently had a great chat with Matt Reeves, co-creator and executive producer of Felicity. Although Reeves was tight lipped about some things, he did offer up some very juicy tidbits about the upcoming season. Warning: It's a spoiler minefield ahead. Skip ahead if you don't want to know.

1. Felicity premieres on Oct. 3 and will run for 11 uninterrupted episodes. The show will then take a break for Kevin Williamson's Glory Days and will return in the spring for seven episodes culminating with their graduation from college. Felicity returns in Summer 2002 with four new episodes that will focus on their post-college life. Maybe they'll all work at the Beverly Hills Beach Club.

2. Felicity and Noel spent the summer rekindling their friendship. When we see them in the fall, they'll have a great, supportive, intimate friendship - much like the one they had in the first season. "Their friendship is stronger than ever," says Reeves.

3. Their senior year will focus on the future. Felicity is in a panic and thinks that Ben will be as lost as she is. But for the first time in their relationship, their roles swap. Ben knows exactly where he's going and what he wants to do. After spending the summer as an EMT, he's decided to become a doctor. This will lead to major problems between Felicity and Ben.

4. The show will continue to explore the Ben, Felicity and Noel triangle. Reeves wouldn't confirm the rumor that Noel and Felicity begin dating again (or the big time rumor that Noel and Felicity sleep together), but he kept emphasizing Noel and Felicity's "intimate" friendship.

5. Elena will accept Tracey's marriage proposal and they'll get married in the second episode with Javier serving as Elena's wedding coordinator.

6. Ian Gomez joins the cast full time as Javier. Javier will have a big fight with Samuel and move in with the girls for a couple of episodes. Wouldn't Javier make the best roommate?

7. Molly and Avery won't be back, but they're planning on bringing in Julie (Amy Jo Johnson) for a couple of episodes. And we'll meet Felicity's cousin, a role that hasn't been cast yet.

...

Well, that's all for today. I'm off to see *N Sync in concert this week (I'll tell the boys you said, "Hi." ) Next Monday, we'll have to talk about Carrie's acceptance of Aidan's proposal. I'll have more gossip about the new season and a look at television spin-offs. Have a question, seen a familiar face, want to nominate a quote of the week? Write me at amytvgal@zap2it.com.
