Will Keri Russell's Hair Grow Back in Time for Next Season?
(Från Entertainment Weekly)

Not since the Rachel - or maybe even Carol Brady's protomullet - has the TV-watching public been so fixated on one actress' tresses. So it shouldn't have been surprising that after Felicity star Keri Russell took scissors to her signature shock of curls last fall, she touched off a firestorm of debate.

And when the show's ratings quickly dropped more than 30 percent, suddenly her new 'do was considered, well, doo-doo. (Sure, the drama had moved into a tough Sunday-night timeslot, but even the WB entertainment president Susanne Daniels half-jokingly blamed it on the mane.)

Now, an important question hangs over the heads of millions of fans: Will Keri's curls be back to normal by fall? Good news: Our sources indicate a bright-eyed, bushy-haired future. "It's growing," proclaims Russell's manager, Joannie Burstein. "I don't know where we're going with it, but her hair is growing."

And just in case the locks don't quite reach their ratings-grabbing length of fall 1998, Felicity cocreator J.J. Abrams has formulated a backup plan. "Remember how they had Viviam Vance stay like 20 pounds heavier to make Lucy look thinner?" he says. "We're going to shave all of our other characters' heads bald, just so Keri's hair looks crazy long."
