SAN DIEGO - Felicity TV star Keri Russell and singer Anthony Kiedis of the Red Hot Chili Peppers were caught in a rip current while swimming and needed lifeguards to pull them to safety. Russell, 25, and Kiedis, 38, were with a group of friends that ventured into the surf late Tuesday afternoon at a popular beach in the La Jolla area of San Diego. Lifeguards responded to a call that six people were in distress, Lt. Rick Wurts, spokesman for the San Diego County Lifeguard Service, said Thursday. Four of them were pulled to safety. No one was injured. Russell and Kiedis were in the San Diego area visiting friends, according to her publicist. Russell won a Golden Globe in 1999 for her performance in the WB drama about a college student's life in New York. The program is to begin filming its fourth season in July.
