LOS ANGELES - Kenan Thompson, star of Nickelodeon's Kenan & Kel, has signed on to guest star as a recurring character on Felicity when the series returns to The WB's schedule in April. During a recent visit to the Felicity set, Zap2it.com learned that Thompson's character, named DeForrest, has a plot line that includes Elena, played by Tangi Miller. Aside from Kenan & Kel, Thompson was a regular on the TV shows All That and the game show Figure It Out. His feature film credits include the films Good Burger, The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle and D2: The Mighty Ducks. In other Felicity news, Zap2it.com has learned that Amy Smart, who played the character Ruby last season, will be returning to the series for the last episode of the season. Since leaving Felicity last season, Smart has appeared in the films Road Trip and the upcoming Scotland, PA, Rat Race and Interstate 60. Her other film credits include Outside Providence, Varsity Blues and the NBC miniseries The 70s.
